At SpaceCadet, we believe entrepreneurship leads to innovation and independence, and it should be accessible to everyone. Our mission is to promote urban economic renewal by supporting small business and local economies using commercial real estate technology and collaborative consumption. After all, it’s entrepreneurs who have the power to build cities we all love!
Who we are
Steven Quintanilla is a serial entrepreneur who believes entrepreneurship is a vehicle for innovation and progression in individuals and communities. After graduating from the John Jay Science and Engineering Academy in San Antonio, TX, he pursued his higher education in New England and completed his undergraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA. He is CoFounder of SpaceCadet, an online tool for commercial real estate on-demand, where he currently serves as CEO. His professional interests focus on digital two-sided marketplaces, ecommerce, recommendation engines, and virtual currency in the Share Economy and On-Demand Era, and he acts as an Adviser to an online wholesale marketplace based in Silicon Valley.
He cofounded the SA Founders’ Coffee Club, a local entrepreneur support meetup with over 400 members, and organizes a Blockchain Developers Meetup in Palo Alto, CA with over 700 developer members. Steven is an active Brazilian Jiu Jitsu student, and enjoys the mental break he finds on the mats. He serves on the Board of the Youth Jiu Jitsu Collective - a non-profit that teaches mindfulness through jiu jitsu to at-risk youth as a means of increasing the time between their emotions and reactions.
Both San Antonio Natives, Steven and his wife, Sabrina, recently relocated back to the Alamo City from the San Francisco Bay Area. To recharge, they can often be found reading, camping, fishing, swimming in local watering holes, and discovering new adventures with good conversations.
